New York, NY (PRWEB) April 01, 2014

Specialist eBook publisher, Take2 Publishing, has just released The Take2 Guide To Steven Spielberg, the first in its range of Guides directed at popular culture now available in all recognized digital formats and at all key eBook retailers. The Availability of This Guide Launches Dedicated eBook Imprint, Take2 Publishing - All That’s Fit to Reprint.

Take2 Publishing has a unique role in the market, as all it's books are made up of already-published articles, paying particular attention to the wonderful writings, their authors and sites, that at the moment are not getting anywhere near the attention they deserve.
It should also be noted that all Take2 books must maintain a traditional linear narrative in form, not necessarily of time and place, but of ideas and opinion and be imbued with one overriding primary directive … to add substance to the discourse on the subject.

The Take2 Guide to Steven Spielberg is a shining example of that goal.
According to John Pruzanski, CEO and managing editor for Take2 Publishing, the need for this form comes from the supposition that at this time, where there are more words being added to the annals of civilization every month than the accumulated archive of recorded history from the beginning of civilization till the start of the 20th Century, has inconveniently coincided with the fact that searching online has become much more prohibitively cumbersome, difficult and time consuming.

“Between sifting through professionally SEO'd sites and the multiplicity of ‘paid results’, searching has become an onerous chore especially in finding the wonderful works of those writing in near anonymity and who might only appear after many dozens of pages of search results.
"We do it so you don't have to," he said.

Whether it's a Guide to a filmmaker or a cinema sub-genre (or even a television series), Take2 books will include multiple reviews of every film directed by the filmmaker, every episode of the series (no matter how many seasons), or every film discussed. There will also be at least eight - 10 chapters discussing issues related to the subject … each chapter also including multiple associated articles coming from some of the best known writers on the subject, as well as (and more importantly), from scribes who perhaps are only writing for small discreet circles of friends and acquaintances. It will be the books dedicated editor's role to generate original text that will provide the 'connective tissue' for the narrative and will also provide a contextual framework for each contributed article.

Further publications in development include The Take2 Guide to JJ Abram's Lost and a comprehensive Guide to the cinema world of Woody Allen both to be released in the next few months amongst many others.

According to Pruzanski, these Guides have been built "for those too smart to search".

Although Sam Juliano, from the Wonders In The Dark website said after reviewing the T2G to Steven Spielberg, "I tip my cap to you for the exhaustive and scholarly nature of this most noble enterprise," Take2 Publishing can still acknowledge the warmth and humor attached to it's ‘lofty’ endeavors.

That is clearly evidenced in the promotional video produced for the launch where many contributors to the Spielberg Guide digitally don 'fancy' hats representing a collection of Spielberg's films in a morphing spree of appreciation.

Already, a community of online viewers have had fun trying to guess the identity of the contributors and which of Spielberg's films their hat’s represent.

Take2 Publishing has also produced a 50 page ‘pdf’ extract for the 900+ page Guide. It is freely available for download.
